Kickstarter x Saint Vitus mini documentary

Nothing were kind enough to give us some time on their stream last night to discuss the state of live music, and our friends at Kickstarter put together this mini documentary for us (thank you!). The underground music community really is just that: a community made up of bands, of venues & staff, of labels, promoters, etc., and yes, of music fans.

All of us have been affected in some way by the shut down, and we think it's important to talk about the real ways that'll affect all of us, both economically and psychologically. We know all of you are missing shows, and we are too. That experience was an important outlet for so, so many of us, and it's gonna be a while before it comes back.

We were really lucky to get to have Kickstarter helping us out (you can learn more about that here: https://www.kickstarter.com/articles/saint-vitus-didn-t-want-charity-this-campaign-got-their-community-through-covid-shutdowns ). We would urge you all to do your best to help each other through this any way you can so we can see all of you on the other side of this. If you have the ability to buy merch or pledge to crowdfunding campaigns, I know a lot of you are already doing that. But even something like commenting on a band's social media or sharing their posts or letting them know how much their music has been getting you through this, ALL of those things are really important and valuable.

Check up on each other, take care of each other, and we'll see you on the other side of this.

Love & hails,
The Vitus crew
