One year ago today we hosted a sold out show with GASHI — our last before shutting down on March 12th. The year to follow has been a whirlwind to say the least. With all the hardships our community has been up against in face of a pandemic, we’re thankful to have been able to step up and offer support where we could. From offering free pizzas weekly until we ran out of supplies, to holiday feedings for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and most recently free Covid testing — El Club is very intentionally more than a live concert venue but we are an active community space. We are excited to carry this energy into the next phase and continue bringing some of the worlds best musicians and artists to Southwest Detroit. We are also excited to reopen fully once totally safe and it feels right to do so — and we will easing into that process slowly over the next few months...
